Description

TerraWave offers a line of enclosures for extreme applications in hazardous locations where critical safety standards apply. These durable enclosures are designed to house Cisco's 1200 series wireless products in potentially hazardous working environments. The enclosures securely seal to protect networking equipment from potentially combustible elements. The protective enclosures protect the surrounding environment and enable the use of wireless data applications in a number of industries including oil & gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical or others with indoor or outdoor processes that require stringent regulatory control of potential flames or sparks.

The enclosures are perfect for locations made hazardous due to the presence of flammable gases or vapors, combustible dust, or easily ignitable fibers and materials, and areas which are subject to corrosion, weather and dampness.

- Ground joint cover opening provides maximum plenty of space for pulling wires or mounting equipment
- Walls of bodies may be drilled and tapped for conduit entries
- Stud bolts in opposite corners of body aid in aligning cover to body during installation
- Captive quick-release hex head stainless steel bolts with spring loaded action provide clear indication that cover bolts are fully retracted from the body
- External flange design provides a wide, unobstructed cover opening to easily access the interior for wiring and electrical equipment
- Square corners of enclosure body provide maximum interior space and area for conduit openings
- Internal grounding lug provides a means to ground enclosed equipment
- Special neoprene cover gasket provides a watertight seal to meet NEMA 4 requirements and provides superior protection against water and corrosion
